First Quarter Reflection

I thought that first quarter in english this year was pretty good. It was much better than last year when we had to read all of the colonial and revolutionary junk. I would much rather read about a superhero ripping off demon arms than reading that Bradford guy's Puritan diary. That was awful. But back to this year, I liked reading Beowulf and some of the Canterbury Tales. I did not like the Franklin's Tale that much. It wasn't interesting enough. I also didn't like how sometimes the prolouges were longer than the tales. Other than that, it was pretty good. I was suprised that we didn't do too much writing this quarter but I expect that to change. It did last year. All we have written so far I think is the epic paper. And that was fun to write because it was creative writing. I also liked doing the altered book project. It was a very different project but it made us think about the book we read so I guess it did its purpose.
So, overall I think it was a pretty good quarter. I liked most of the books we read and I liked all of the projects. I just have a bad feeling it will get a lot harder next quarter. I have a feeling we are going to write at least 3 papers. Just because.
