R & G 73-95

I noticed in this reading of Ros and Guil, there was a lot more interaction between Ros and Guil and the main characters of Hamlet. More specifically, we see a lot more of Hamlet in this act. The scene begins with Guil asking lots of wierd questions about Hamlet. I don't know why he asked these questions, the seemed a little strange. Then after he is done asking questoins, Hamlet leaves and Ros and Guil overhear Hamlet talking to Ophelia. Then the two guys bump into someone who they think is the queen, but is really just a player dressed like a queen. So, the two guys watch the play and then make fun of it because it is a tragedy. They think it is stupid because hveryone should be dead at the end of a tragedy. Later on in the act, Ros and Guil see Hamlet carrying Polonius' body and they hide. They then show themselves so they can find out where he hid the body.
The main thing that struck me as interesting was the metafiction part of this act. Mainly, it is Ros and Guil making fun and talking about the tragedy they watched. This is metafiction because they are in a tragedy. Also, this act is more important to the plot of Hamlet, so we see less of Ros and Guil talking and more of Hamlet and others from the original Hamlet cast.
